HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 8

Requesting the Adjutant General to transfer ownership of the National Guard Armory and the real estate connected therewith to the city of Oak Hill to be used for recreational purposes only.

Whereas, The National Guard Armory will cease to be used; and
Whereas, The citizens of Fayette County and the surrounding areas will greatly benefit from a designated recreational facility; and
Whereas, The city of Oak Hill will be required to use the armory and the property connected therewith for recreational purposes only, and should the armory and its property not be used for recreational purposes, then the armory and the property connected therewith shall revert back to the State of West Virginia; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Legislature hereby requests the Adjutant General to transfer ownership of the National Guard Armory and the property connected therewith to the city of Oak Hill to be used for a recreational facility for the citizens of Fayette County; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Adjutant General.
